Heat rash, generally known as prickly heat or miliaria is very common among babies, especially for the little kids. Most often it attacks on your baby’s skin during hot and humid weather conditions. It can be itchy, uncomfortable and cause crankiness for your baby. Heat rash generally seen on those parts of body which can rub together as like thighs, necks or under arms. What causes heat rash: Heat rash generally developed in babies as their sweat glands are less developed. During the hot and humid weather condition, when excessive sweating occurs baby skin cannot pass this excess sweat. These excess sweats get trapped under the skin and cause red rashes known as miliaria or heat rash. Sometimes using thick lotions can cause heat rash on babies. Heat rash symptoms in babies: Hear rash looks like similar to pimples, most often red Rash often seen at the folded area on skin, sometimes in upper chest and diaper area. It cause itching, pain or discomforts Remedy for heat rash: Use a mild baby soap which will help you to soothe your baby’s skin, let the skin be try by naturally or with a very soft towel. Keep the affected area dry. Always use a fan to dry sweat. Don’t use powder, lotions or oil during the humid days. It will make the rash worse. Don’t be panic, most of the times rash gone by itself. If you see the heat rashes lasts for more than three days, consult with a doctor.
